Meet Lisa - Certified Personal Trainer Specialist

In 1993, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Revitalization Act marked a pivotal moment in medical research by requiring the inclusion of women in all NIH-funded clinical trials. Prior to this, women were routinely excluded from health studies, clinical trials, and drug research. Let that sink in—until 1993, women's health was largely overlooked in medical research in the United States. Meanwhile, in Canada, it wasn’t until 1997 that Health Canada introduced a guideline—just a recommendation—to include women in health studies and trials.

I'm a passionate health and wellness advocate in my mid-40s, dedicated to aging gracefully and living life to the fullest. As a Certified Personal Trainer with Canfitpro, I bring years of experience working with diverse groups, including individuals with disabilities, seniors, and children. Helping people set meaningful goals and achieve them is my true calling. I’m deeply passionate about this phase of life for women because I believe there isn’t enough conversation or understanding about what we truly go through.

I am CPR and First Aid Certified, a Canfitpro Certified Personal Training Specialist, and I have liability insurance. 

I am currently enhancing my knowledge and skills by pursuing Nutrition, Health, and Wellness Certification at McMaster University.
